Gainesville isn’t just a random city where we chose to have our studio. Gainesville is where it all began. It’s home. And home is where you learn what people value most. Over the years, we’ve seen something important here: Gainesville clients want design that goes beyond aesthetics. They want spaces that actually support the way they live…beautifully. That’s where our work comes in.
At Rose Wade Interior Design, we don’t just decorate. We listen, translate, refine, and elevate. Our clients aren’t looking for trends; they’re looking for clarity, comfort, and craftsmanship that lasts. They want their home to feel like the truest version of themselves, but with our signature touch of luxury.
What Gainesville Clients Are Asking For
We hear some version of this every week:
“I’ve lived here a long time, and I’m finally ready to make my home feel like me.”
Music to our ears! We specialize in:
- Spaces that function beautifully
- Floor plans built around real routines
- Comfort that’s curated, not cluttered
- Florida living that brings the outdoors in- without losing sophistication
- Hearing (and exceeding) our clients’ needs
Luxury isn’t about showing off, it’s about elevating your everyday through thoughtful design choices. Why just exist in your home when you can really LIVE in it?
Our Design Philosophy for Florida Living
The Gainesville lifestyle informs the way we design:
Honoring original architecture while making it current
Gainesville is full of character-filled homes from classic Florida bungalows to mid-century layouts with great bones. We preserve the elements that give these homes their soul while refining what no longer serves modern living. Think restored floors, updated millwork, or reworked layouts that feel authentic but fresh. We don’t erase history; we elevate it.
Using warm neutrals paired with intentional, rich accents
Florida’s warm light calls for equally warm foundations. We use buttery neutrals, soft taupes, and layered textures as the base, then add depth with emeralds, navies, smoky charcoals, brass, or walnut. Every accent is placed with purpose so the space feels curated, not crowded.
Letting in light, air, and views (strategically)
Indoor–outdoor living is a way of life here, and we design with intention: large windows that frame rather than overwhelm, thoughtful shading, and seamless transitions that respect Florida’s climate realities. Our goal is to maximize beauty and breezes while minimizing the heat, glare…and mosquitoes.
Prioritizing craftsmanship, even when it’s subtle
True luxury lives in the details. We collaborate with Gainesville-area artisans, millworkers, and tradespeople who understand the precision our projects demand. From custom cabinetry to hand-applied finishes, this craftsmanship sets the bar for every Rose Wade design.
Gainesville homes don’t need to shout. They just need to breathe, and feel like they were designed for the people who live in them.
Why We’re Proud to Design Here
We didn’t arrive in Gainesville, we grew here. And in that process, we’ve seen the heartbeat of this community: smart clients who care about their homes and are ready to invest with intention. This city may not be the biggest or the most famous in Florida, but it deserves design that is every bit as elevated. Rose Wade Interior Design is here to deliver exactly that!
If you’re ready to move from “good enough” to “better than I expected,” we’d love to design the Florida home you actually want to live in.
